Product properties and Fabric Care

All of Kay Kraft’s products are handcrafted, majorly using natural fibers. The variations in color, texture, and finish are intrinsic to handmade products. Our products involve crafts-based traditions of hand spinning, dying, weaving, screen printing, wood hand block printing, and hand embroidery. We use both vegetable dyes and commercial dyes with the goal of minimizing our impact on the environment while striving for the best color properties. An irregular weave or print is not a defect – handloom by definition means uncertainty when it comes to uniformity.

Colors: We have done our best to display as accurately as possible the colors of the products shown on this Web site. However, the colors you see will depend on your device/monitor, we cannot guarantee that your display of any color will be 100% accurate. Moreover, photographs are usually brighter than actual.

Reds and blues tend to run. Please always wash like colors together and dry inside out in the shade. Silks must only be dry cleaned. You are asked to follow the wash instruction attached with the products.
